Just a mall cop, solving some mall crimes.

Of course when there is a new post on the Creator’s Blog, the first thing we try to do is get some new information about the newest island. Today we get a look at a new Night Watch sneak peak! There must be plenty of new information hidden in there somewhere, right?

Just hanging out at the mall

What’s your favorite thing to do at the mall? Hit up the food court? Shop? Watch all the other people?
My favorite thing to do at the mall is solve crimes, but that doesn’t come up too much.

CAPTAIN CRAWFISH
No, I have never solved crimes at the mall Captain Crawfish. Neither have most people, but anyway… This does give us a new look at part of Night Watch, but as far as new information goes, there is not a lot. We see that they are in a store with the initials ITN, most likely In The Now.
Also we see some shirts that are for sale, some of which have themes from previous islands, such as the shirts with Dr. Hare’s face, Reality T.V. Island’s logo, and Black Widow’s hourglass on them. How cool would it be if we could get one of those shirts, am I right? Not a lot of stuff that we don’t already know, but hey, we will take any preview that they will give us at this point, eh?

Lego... Poptropica?

That's right, Poptropica could soon become Legotized(?). There is a Lego Set for Dr. Hare's Lair and it just needs 10,000 supporters so become reality.

Vote for Dr. Hare's Lair on LEGO CUUSOO -- or else!

Greetings, minions. It is I, Dr. Hare, broadcasting to you from my secret lair. The time has come for me to venture outside the world of Poptropica, and there’s no better way for me to start enslaving you – er, entertaining you – than with a Poptropica LEGO set. That's why the Poptropica Creators have set up a page at LEGO CUUSOO to propose a brand-new LEGO set: Dr. Hare's Lair!

Here's the catch: our project needs 10,000 supporters before LEGO will consider it. That's why we're asking you to help us reach that goal. We need 10,000 people to vote for our project at LEGO CUUSOO.

You must be at least 13 years old to register and vote on the LEGO CUUSOO site. I may be an evil genius, but even I know better than to break the rules on a website. So if you're under 13, ask a parent to make an account and cast your vote.

Together, my brainwashed friends, we can make a LEGO Poptropica set a reality! Vote now for Dr. Hare's Lair!

That is it, gain 10,000 supporters and Lego will consider it! So why not? Go ahead and support it. But make sure that your 13! It only has about 500 supporters but almost 10,000 people have looked at it! So make sure to support it when you go on over there!

Night Watch... Watch What?

The newest Poptropica island has been announced. The new Island’s name will be… wait for it… wait for it… Night Watch Island!
Night Watch... Watch What?
From the earlier “Mall Island” previews including one with a security office, it is safe to say that the newest island is what we have been calling Mall Island. I must admit, Night Watch is a whole lot cooler than Mall. We might even be cracking codes, based on this sneak peek entitled “Open Sesame – What’s the password?”
open sesame
But wait… what does this mean for Monster Carnival, Mardi Gras, and Theater based Islands? Do you think they are still coming, or will they be a part of this newest Island? What do you think this new Island is going to be about?

The Adventures Of Captain Lightning: Episode 8

Episode 8: Limited Engagement Part One

May 9th:
Captain had just arrived on Early Poptropica Island. He was using the tracker the Professor gave him to find the first Xenon-8. He was tracking it into “the pit”. This was the beginning of his mission, the first Xenon-8 he was going to capture. As he descended into the sewers he saw the alien right bellow him. As he walked down and down, soon he was upon it. It was hideous. It was a bare skeleton, with spikes growing out of its back. It was like something from a bad dream. As he snuck around near it, it sensed him. It slowly turned and looked at him.
“I can smell the radiation that gives you your power. It smells delicious.” The voice was cold and raspy. It was like something from a nightmare, but he had heard it somewhere before. He had heard something like that when he saw the two men talking while he was on the rocket. One looked somewhat like this monster.
“What do you plan to do now, fleshling? How do you plan to stop us? You can’t, we shall invade and your planet will be ours.”
“Not while I’m on the mission.”
Once he said this, he threw the transporter onto the alien and it did nothing. The alien just stood there and looked at hm. It wasn’t until the Xenon-8 charged him that the thing worked. There was a bright flash, and it was gone. It was amazing. With a blink it was gone, and presumably to a cage back at the lab. This wasn’t going to be as hard as he thought. This is when about a dozen more of the Xenon-8 appeared out of the shadows and surrounded Captain. He only had three more transporters. This wasn’t going to be good. Now, they charged.

BLACK WIDOW

How amazing, is this the first time a Poptropica Comic had been released as a full scale comic? Very nice! And remember, Zombie fighters, it's either you or them (or you cure them, that's probably what you'll do).

That Delicious Bread

Happy Second Week of the New Year! Have you made any New Year’s resolutions? Well it appears that the Creators have in this interesting new post.

New Year’s resolutions

It’s that time of year again when everybody makes well-meaning plans to better themselves, only to abandon them within a week. Well, not us. We stick to our plans. This year, we’re resolved to do the following:
  • Make the best Poptropica Islands ever
  • Add new features that you’ve been wanting for years
  • Give you even more ways to enjoy Poptropica
  • Eat fewer carbs
Wait, forget that last one. Bread is too delicious to give up. But the rest of it? You better believe those are our New Year’s resolutions!

CAPTAIN CRAWFISH
I completely agree, bread is way too… wait! Before that! What could be coming soon to Poptropica?
The best Islands ever? Could one of these Islands be Monster Carnival? How about Mardi Gras and the Mall Island? What other Island ideas do they have stewing?
Add new features? What have we been wanting for years? One thing definitely comes to mind, Houses! The Creators have acknowledged this idea before and have even added a poll asking if we would want our own houses. You can check that out over here.
More ways to enjoy Poptropica? What else can they add, does this not just happen when you add the best Islands ever and awesome new features that we have been dying to get?
What do you want to see added to Poptropica this coming year?

Can you get them all?

As if we didn't know, Zomberry is the 32nd Island. This means that there are 32 Medallions available, which is expertly pointed out by Captain Crawfish.

32 for '13

Zomberry Island is our 32nd Island, and it's going to be available for everyone to play next Thursday. You know that you can see how many Islands you've completed by looking at your own friends profile, and you know that you can see how many Islands all of your friends have completed.

So will you nab 32 medallions to kick off 2013? You're not going to let your friends show you up, are you? Get out there and show them how it's done!

The Adventures of Captain Lightning: Episode 7

Episode 7: The Mission Begins

May 8th:
Once Captain had found Professor Antillies, and made it back to the lab, he found cages all around the lab. These appeared to be made of pure green energy. They were slightly glowing with an eerie green glow.
“They’re made out of the same stuff as the Anti-Super Power Handcuffs. I made those too. I enjoy making neutralizing… things.”
“That man flew off with my unconscious body, and you didn’t do anything about it!” Captain was very mad.
“I knew you would escape. And obviously you did. I also saw what you did to that rocket. Don’t expect me to be paying for that.”
“I wouldn’t have had to do that if you would have helped.”
“So you expect me to trust you now that you didn’t save me?”
“You are about to go face off against an advanced alien army and how do you expect to be able to do that if you need me to save you from some lunatic in bright green body armor?”
Captain thought.
“I see. So when do I start finding all of these aliens and putting them in these cages?”
“Now, take this xenon radiation tracker and find them!”
Captain Lightning took the radiation tracker from the Professor and walked out to the door and activated it. It showed that the closest Xenon-8 was hiding “in the pit” of Early Poptropica. Captain had never been there, but he heard of some strange characters walking around.
“Also take these!”
The Professor also handed him a transporter.
“When you put one of these on one of the Xenon-8, the radiation on them will power it up and they will be transported to a cage.”
“Thanks”
He was off, on his journey to prove himself as a hero.
